Omskriven vaggvisa sätter stämningen när Bris lyfter nattångest

På natten rusar tankarna ostört. Barn som har det kämpigt under dagen får ofta det ännu värre på natten. Nattångest är ett problem för många och temat för BRIS nya insamlingskampanj, med målet att fortsätta hålla stödlinjerna öppna dygnet runt.

Since Lidl came to Sweden they have been struggling with the reputation of only “selling cheap German shit”, so when the Corona Pandemic stroke we saw an opportunity to “swedify” Lidl. The Solution was an initiative to support vulnerable Swedish food suppliers, giving them space on their shelves.

This quirkyspot highlights some of these products through Swedish dialects from where the suppliers originate.

BACKGROUND

When the pandemic hit the world in 2020, everything came to a grinding halt. As restrictions hardened, quarantine and self-isolation brought depressions and widespread anxiety.

INSIGHT

In days of uncertainty, people seek new ways to find relieve. One way of doing so is via listening to ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response). Calming sounds of wind chimes, rain, desert winds and waves can now be found everywhere on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music and other. platforms.

SOLUTION

By launching the world’s first concept album with soothing in-store ASMR sounds on Spotify, we enabled people to mentally escape their quarantine by listening to titles such as “Blipping groceries”, “Shopping cart right to left” and “Filling up the fridge”. An effective way to find relief and experience the very thing we all miss the most. Everyday life.

As the war in Ukraine becomes the new normal, aid through donations has declined. In order to remind people to support Ukraine, Better Shelter targeted Swedes during their summer vacation, when their mind was far away from the terrible war.

The print ran in national newspaper Expressen and DI Weekend during summer vacation weeks in Sweden 2022.

About Better Shelter:
Better Shelter is a non-profit Swedish organization that sets up tent buildings and dignified housing in refugee areas around the world. In Ukraine, the need for their help is enormous. To date, the war has forced 14 million Ukrainians to leave their homes, of which 5 million have fled to neighboring Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.

With this creative optical illusion we

broke the rules of Instagram, and made

people stop scrolling more than ever.

When producing a digital campaign, the key is to stand out in order to create a “scroll-stopping-effect”. Therefore, we decided to use optical illusions to literally stand out.

We gave Lidls Swedish suppliers an opportunity to thank customers for choosing their products during the pandemic, following up on Lidl’s initiative to support vulnerable Swedish suppliers earlier this year by giving them a space on their shelves.

A hugely effective campaign in the busiest media out there.

Lidl challenges its biggest competitor

with a well-timed PR campaign, inviting

their retiring spokesperson to Lidl.

The hype surrounding the reveal of ICA-Stig’s successor was used as an opportunity to remind customers of the benefits of shopping at Lidl. Through a SoMe-post, we shifted the focus toward Stig’s upcoming status as a retired wholesaler, noting that he would get more bang for the buck at Lidl. With one SoMe-post and zero mediabudget, we managed to go viral in Sweden with a huge impact by tapping into culture.

The food industries production methods are generally bad for the climate, because it pollutes the air. Polarbröd on the other hand, has a mission to save the planet by a nature friendly supply chain from production to transport.

Windmills were once an integral part within the art of baking. Polarbröd carry on this tradition with the use of their own wind powered turbines which supply energy to all of their factories. To make this connection a visual one we took their iconic bread and turned it into a windmill.

Due to their German origin, Lidl is struggling with the preconception of not being able to provide products for all the Swedish holidays.

As a Christmas spot, we took the opportunity to promote Lid’s wide assortments, not only for Christmas holiday’s, but all the other festive seasons throughout the year.

Illustrated by our hero as the host of a really really long table filled with friends and family, Lidl’s assortments are presented as reaching across all typically Swedish holidays of the year in one take.
